Some People

Why is it that some people think just because they are the ones giving you medical advice and wear the title of Nurse Practitioner they have the right to tell you how to raise your child?????
Yesterday I had to take both Nina and Moe to the Dr’s office to make sure they didn’t have strep throat. While we were there the NP asked if they were sleeping okay. I said I thought Nina was sleeping okay but I knew that this cold was keeping Moe from getting a good nights sleep. She asked me how I knew. Well because he is coming into our room at 11 or 12 instead of the usual 4 or 5 in the morning.
She then went on to tell me she was going to give me homework on how to get him out of our bed. Ummmm excuse me, I don’t think I said it was a problem. He is 3 and goes to bed in his bed and usually stays there until 4 or 5am. I seriously doubt that as a teenager I am going to still have him wanting to climb in bed with us. Oooh I was a tad miffed. Whatever I took the paper she gave me and had it placed in the round file cabinet.
Good news was neither of the kids had strep.
